Art is not only what the result looks like, it is also that driven feeling while being creative.

Being creative is both a gift and a curse. It is the irresistible urge to make art from passion. If it flows freely, it cannot be controlled. Not only to enjoy the expression for myself, but also to be seen by you from appreciation and respect.

01 About the artist

HISTORY
Jan Stel (Purmerend 1970), artist name: Simbl (Symbol), is a versatile artist, he is active in several creative fields with a passion for street art and graffiti. Simbl has a background with drawing and painting. From an early age there has been the drive to make beautiful creative expressions and he has worked with many art materials over the years. In addition to street art, he is also a photographic artist and represented by 2 art galleries. Stel his photography is showed on many (internal)art-fairs. And is exhibited regularly and part of many private and corporate collections.

In the old school days (1988) he started to spray illegally, this only lasted for a short time because the production of full-color walls is his passion. Simbl does make street art on walls, (wooden)panels, canvas and whatever the customer prefers. The aim is not only to decorate the objects artistically, but also to attract and connect with the people who work, live or pass by daily. For Simbl, art is a way to express himself creatively, and doing wall paintings is what makes him feel alive. With his passionate craftsmanship he makes people happy and proud to own a eye-catching artwork.

As an artist, Jan Stel's style can be recognized by its superfine detail, fabulous perspectives and his rich but subtile grading of colors, all together form a coherent balance. Both in street art as well in photography. It has become his trademark over the years and he is celebrated for it.

02 Street art possibilities and solutions

PREVENTIVE STREET ART
Nothing is more annoying than unwanted graffiti tagging on your outside wall. We offer artistic solutions for this with preventive graffiti. Together with you, we look at what can best be made on the wall in question, using a pre-made sketch to get started. Due to the 'honor code' that street artists use, no illegal graffiti is sprayed over it afterwards. No more messing about on your walls, but a work of art that gives your company and the neighborhood prestige.

DECORATION FOR SHOPS AND BUSINESSES
Another preventive way of art is to provide the wooden panels on building sites with our arts. For example, by integrating the construction theme of the "work in progress" site on the panels, the environment is pleasant to look at. There are countless creative options! We are happy to help you for the best possible application.

OFFICE ART
The first impression of your company is of course your exterior. That sets the tone. No boring shop or gray office building facade, but beautiful shapes and colors as an eye-catcher. Our arts give an attractive and original creative look to your building, both outside and inside. We work on walls as well as on efficiently movable panels. From a representative commercial image appropriate for your company, to a soothing expression or, for example, our own free-style.

Visitors to your office will be amazed by the decorative artistic appearance that pleasantly welcomes them. Be in the spotlight!

03 The way of working

As artists we (Jan Stel alias Simbl and my art partner, Dimitri de Wit alias Just), use all available resources to carry out our art expressions. We first latex the surface for good adhesion of the paint. After which we start with the spray-can. We also use brushes and markers for the finest details that cannot be achieved with the spray-can. We are happy to think along with you to realize the best design for your company or private situation. On request we make a simplistic or detailed sketch.

For long-term protection of the wall painting, a special anti-graffiti layer can be applied. This ensures a long life and color-fast colors thanks to the UV protection.

TIMING AND PRICING
How long does it take to make a wall painting? That depends on the size of the assignment. Large murals, for example a flat (16 x 8 meters), can take about 4 to 5 days. Smal wallpaintings will take about half a day to 2 days. Large spaces are done with stairs. Extremely high surfaces are applied by the use of a aerial work platform.
Our prices are on request and are based on the level of difficulty and thus the time required to create the artwork. We always send you a tailor-made quote.

In some cases, companies could have tax breaks on their annual balance, another form of financing is through municipal subsidies. Financing an assignment can also be obtained by setting up a crowdfunding, which can also generate attention for a commercial expression.
